Welcome to Driftstone. It is important to us that you enjoy your stay with us. For everyone’s benefit, we ask you to abide by the following:

RULES

QUIET HOURS are from 11 PM – 8 AM  
During these hours all children must be on a campsite with adult supervision. Radios, TVs and electronic devices must be turned off by 11 PM. Generators are not permitted. Noise must be kept at a reasonable level at all times.

LIGHTS  Outside lights should not detract from a camper's nighttime experience.  All spotlights, awning lights, decorative lights (ie. LED flags), etcetera, must be turned off by 11 PM.

CAMPSITES  Each family must set up on its assigned campsite. One family per campsite.  One recreational vehicle per campsite.  Please respect the privacy of others by not cutting through campsites. Use the pathways provided. Digging ditches is prohibited. To preserve our grass, please use our volleyball court and horseshoe pits. Do not set them up on your campsite.

PETS  Maximum two dogs per campsite and must be on a leash and/or lead at all times.  Dogs cannot be loose. Dogs should not be left unattended at the campsite. Barking dogs are annoying to others. It is your responsibility to clean up after your pet. Aggressive dogs are not permitted.  Dogs/Pets are not permitted in buildings or pool area. Fencing for dogs is not permitted on the campsite.  Please advise your guests not to bring a dog.

GUESTS  DRIFTSTONE MUST BE NOTIFIED IN ADVANCE OF ANY EXPECTED GUESTS. UNEXPECTED GUESTS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED FOR THE PROTECTION OF ALL ADULTS AND CHILDREN. All guests will be charged a fee unless you have paid for them in advance. Guests who bring boats will be charged extra in addition to the guest fee. Guests may not bring pets. Please inform your guests of the policies before arrival. Limit the number of guests at your site at one time. There shall be no more than 12 people, including registered campers and day guests. Overnight guests must have their own site. Day visitors will not be admitted at 9 PM.  All day guests must leave by 10:30 PM.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES  Must be kept at the campsite. Excessive drinking is unacceptable.

OFF-ROAD VEHICLES, MOTORCYCLES, MOTORBIKES, MOTOR SCOOTERS, MOPED, ANY PERSONAL MOTORIZED DEVICE, GOLF CARTS, CHILDREN’S ELECTRIC CARS, PERSONAL WATER CRAFT, PONTOON BOATS, BOAT WITH OVER THE TRANSOM EXHAUST, FIREWORKS, ALL TYPES OF GUNS  Not permitted any time.

GAS POWERED DEVICES  Such as chainsaws, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, pressure washers and weedwackers are not permitted.

E-BIKES  Defined as “pedalcycles with electric assist”.  Only Class 1 E-Bikes are permitted at Driftstone. Class 1 being a bicycle equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling, and that ceases to provide assistance when the e-bike reaches 20 mph.  E-Bike usage at Driftstone is restricted to those who hold a valid driver's license.  Anyone using an e-bike is welcome to pedal freely about the campground using their own human pedal-power.  If using the e-bike with pedal assist on it is mandatory that the speed limit of 5 mph must be kept while in the campground.  Those who cannot adhere to this policy will be asked to put their bike away for the rest of their stay.  (PeopleForBikes.org)

SPEED LIMIT 5 MILES PER HOUR  Please do not drive with passengers on hoods, trunks or tailgates. Motor vehicles are to be operated by licensed drivers only.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING is not permitted. Plugging your EV into a traditional campground pedestal could permanently damage your vehicle as well as the campground's electrical system.

FIREWOOD  Available for sale at the store by the bundle. Do not chop wood on fireplaces or move fireplaces. Cutting down trees and branches is prohibited.

CAMPFIRES  Must be in established fireplace or firering. Do not move fireplace or firering. Do not put hot ashes in garbage cans. All bottles, cans, metal, nails or other trash must be put in garbage cans, not in firerings. Hibachis are not to be used on picnic tables.

NO SELLING of merchandise at the campsite.

BICYCLES  Must have a light if used after dark.

GRAY WATER  Pennsylvania prohibits the draining of sink water directly onto the ground. Dishwashing is to be done at your campsite, not in the bathhouses.

CHECK-OUT  Before 2 PM from site, pool, river and all facilities. To stay until 6 PM, please pay late departure fee before 2 PM at the office.

ANYONE THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE RULES WILL BE WARNED FIRST AND, IF PROBLEMS CONTINUE, ASKED TO LEAVE WITHOUT REFUND.


INFORMATION

AIR COMPRESSOR  Two are available – one at the wood shed for tubes, rafts, etc. and one at the south end of the Carriage House for vehicle tires.

ATEN CEMETERY  Adjacent to the campground. You will find many old and interesting gravestones dating back to 1773. Please inform your children that it is not be used as a playground. Some stones are old and fragile which could be easily knocked over and be dangerous.

CHURCH SERVICES  Inquire at the reservation desk for local church services.

FISHING  Pennsylvania or New Jersey license is required for anyone 16 or older. Licenses can be obtained through the internet at the state agencies. Night crawlers and fishing tackle available for sale in the store.

GAMEROOM  Pool tables and video machines provided. Hours are the same as the store and office.

GARBAGE  Garbage bags are to be taken to the dumpster area by the camper.  Additional bags can be obtained at the store. 

LAUNDRY ROOM  Open daily 8 AM – 9 PM. Quarters for the machines can be obtained from the change machine in the gameroom or from the store.  An App is also available to download.

MAIL   Mail and packages are no longer accepted for Driftstone Campers.  An option to receive Amazon packages would be to send them to an Amazon Locker.  Locker near Driftstone are:  "Weird" in Columbia, NJ, "Sander" in Belvidere, NJ and "Now" in East Stroudsburg, PA.

LIFE PRESERVERS  Available at the office. Deposit required. All children 12 and under must wear a life preserver while on the river.

POOL  Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult while at the pool. Open weekends only beginning Memorial Day until Father’s Day weekend, then every day through Labor Day.  Pool hours are 11 AM to 7 PM.

PROPANE TANK FILLING  Individual bottles are filled twice daily at 12 P.M. and 5 P.M. for a flat rate.  Sign-up and pay in the store prior to filling.  Tanks must be 12 years or newer.  Tanks are to be taken to and from the pump station by the camper.  Metered propane filling for motorhomes is also available upon request.  Inquire at the store for cost and scheduling.

PUMPOUT SERVICE  Holding tanks are pumped daily beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Sign-up and pay in the store no later than 9:45 A.M.

RIVER ACCESS  Best access is at the launching ramp.

STORE/OFFICE  Firewood, ice, basic groceries, household and camping items for sale. Store hours are Sunday through Thursday 8 AM – 8 PM and Friday  & Saturday 8 AM - 9 PM. Hours are subject to change.  Area attraction brochures are available.

MEDICAL EMERGENCIES  Call 911. The nearest hospital is located in East Stroudsburg. For Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, take River Road North to 611 North. 611 North to Route 80 West. Route 80 West to Exit 308. Turn right at first light. Hospital is on the left. Phone number is 570-476-3367.
